THIS CROSS ERECTED IN 1917 AT THE BUTTE DE WARLENCOURT WAS PRESENTED BY THE SURVIVING OFFICERS, NCO'S AND MEN OF THE 3RD S.A.I (TRANSVAAL AND RHODESIAN) REGT. THE NAMES OF THE FALLEN ARE INSCRIBED IN ALL SOULS CHAPEL
All Souls Chapel in the Cathedral of St Mary the Virgin, on the corner of Wanderers and De Villiers Streets, opposite the Johannesburg Park Station, was built as a memorial to Witwatersrand soldiers who fell in the First World War. Their names are inscribed on panels on the Apse walls.
