Significance
The Cenotaph was unveiled on 24 October 1924 to commemorate the men of Germiston and District who died in the Great War 1914 - 1918.

It is inscribed:

The opposite face is inscribed:

AAN ONS ROEMRYKE DOOD 
1914-1918
The Roll of Honour has two alphabetical panels listing surnames and initials A to L and L to Z.
