The Society's Cape Town Branch, formed in 1975, enables persons interested in the subject to meet others with a similar interest and to enjoy monthly illustrated lectures in a friendly, informal and relaxed atmosphere.
Programmes cover a wide historical range, from Biblical times to the present, and attention is not concentrated purely on South Africa. Membership is open to all, and the "I'm not an expert but I'm very interested" sort of person is just as welcome as the professional.

Monthly meetings are held at 8 p.m. on the second Thursday (except December) at the Athenaeum, 154 Campground Rd, Newlands, near the station, below the line.
FULL MEMBERSHIP includes the twice-yearly Military History Journal published in Johannesburg, and the periodical newsletters issued by the Society's headquarters there.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP at a lesser fee excludes the Journal and the newsletters, but members otherwise enjoy full benefits of the Cape Town Branch activities.
For further information, write to Mr. Paul Lange, Southdown Court, Kenilworth 7700 or telephone Major Gordon at mmm-mmm.
Alternatively, simply come along to a meeting and introduce yourself. We'll be happy to meet you!
