(A) THURSDAY 13TH APRIL: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING followed by an illustrated presentation by the Simon's Town Museum on "JUST NUISANCE, RN".

The name of Just Nuisance is synonymous with Simon's Town. The fame of this leqendary Great Dane canine companion of the Royal Navy's lower deck during World War Two lives on still, even though the 1st April marks the 45th anniversary of his death and burial with full naval honours at Simon's Town.

He was the only officially enlisted animal in the British Royal Navy in peace or war, and is still remembered by thousands of people in many parts of the world who came into contact with him at the Cape.

(The Society extends its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Elizabeth Biggs, Curator of the Simon's Town Museum, for graciously consentinq to our request, and for overseeinq the arrangements).
