Mr Ken G.Gillings presented a lecture entitled "A Helpmekaar Duel" to a well attended meeting of the Society. This talk was most interesting and very well illustrated with slides. A more detailed report will follow in a later newsletter.

Mrs Carol Smale - A talk about her grandfather, Mr S.B. Jones, a Natal Pioneer who took part in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 and the Anglo-Boer War. (Contact Tania van der Watt at Dbn 742970 for details of venue.)

NOTICE OF 19TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the South African Military History Society to be held on the 11th April,1985 at 20h00, The meeting will be held at the Lemmer Auditorium at the S.A.National Museum of Military History, Saxonwold, Johannesburg.

The formal meeting will be followed by a film show.

(Please note that this meeting is on the 11th APRIL, 1985)
