The next meeting of the KZN Branch of the SA Military History Society will take place on SATURDAY 14th October, 2023.
The DDH starter will be a PowerPoint and video presentation comprising a very brief history of Madagascar, followed by video of Operation Ironclad the May 1942, the Allied WWII Invasion of Madagascar. This will be facilitated by Phil Everitt
The main talk will move away from modern warfare and be by well-known fellow member and author Robin Smith on the Great Siege of Malta - Saracens vs Crusader Knights.
Both talks are on topics somewhat different from our usual fare and should not be missed!
The starting timeis brought forward to facilitate members getting home in time for the rugby and will be 1.00 for 1.30pm sharp.
The venue remains the St Cyprians Church Hall off Umbilo Rd, with secure parking and liquid refreshments available for cash from The Vicar's Alms.
Visitors are welcome
There is no charge but donations of R10 for each of a raffle and car guard are requested.
