A special meeting of the Cape Town Branch of the SAMHS will be held at the Rosedale Complex, Lower Nursery Road, Rosebank on Thursday 15 September 2022 at 8 pm to elect a new committee or consider the winding up of the branch.
The Chairman Carl Burger is prepared to continue on the committee, should it be reconstituted. The Vice – Chairman, Alan Mountain, and Treasurer Bob Buser are unable to stand for re-election. Ian van Oordt who had hoped to rejoin the committee is also unable to stand.
Ronnie Glass who has assisted with the financial statements, [indicates] he would be happy to continue.
Those of you who are not full members should consider joining the Military History Society as full members as you will then be able to attend the 3 monthly zoom lectures and receive the excellent Military History Journal twice a year.
