The much anticipated ZOOM presentation by Kathie Satchwell on Remembrance had to be postponed when Eskom had a worse week than ever and either the presenter, the host and / or the audience had an over 50% chance of being power-less.
In the event both the speaker and the host suffered "load shedding". This lecture will be presented some time in 2022.

The Society regrets to mark the passing away in November of Johan van den Berg, an honorary life member and former chairman of the Cape Town Branch. Apart from his involvement with the Society - he became a member in 1991 - his contributions to book lovers via his "Warbooks" shop were appreciated by all over the country and condolences are extended to his wife, son and daughter in these sad days. Committee member of the Durban branch, Major (Dr) John Buchan and later his wife Barbara; Peter Grey of SAMHSEC; Ernie Saks, Peter Digby and life member Joan Campkin all of Johannesburg, also passed away during 2021 and condolences are extended to their families and friends.
It is that time of year again when the committee sends best wishes
