- Barbara George

Military uniforms of theNapoleonic era were very colourful which is in contrast with today’s military uniform. The talk will cover the reasons why this was so, with an explanation and illustration of the different uniforms used by the various regiments of the Batavian, British and French forces at the Battle of Blaauwberg.

Barbara George worked as an IT specialist until her retirement in 2013. She is applying her expert knowledge in this field to assist with, amongst other things, in-depth research in European and other archives relating to the many aspects of the Battle of Blaauwberg.
