The next two meetings take place as indicated below, commencing at 8 p.m.,
in the DU TOIT ROOM of the ATHENAEUM, 154 CAMPGROUND ROAD, NEWLANDS.


THURSDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER: "ANGOLA".

Willem Steenkamp, well-known Cape Town journalist and author, who is also an officer in the Cape Town Highlanders, presents a slide-illustrated talk on South African military involvement in Angola.

In addition, he will discuss the activities of the Joint Monitoring Commission to which he was attached for a spell.

THURSDAY 10TH OCTOBER: As this date falls on a Public holiday, Kruger Day, the Athenaeum will be closed, and consequently there will be no meeting.


NOTE: The final meeting for 1985 takes place in November. Details of the programme will be announced later.
